Present in the three Brazilian states in which we operate (Rio de Janeiro, Alagoas and Ceará), these 14 family homes are divided by age group, gender and according to the profile of the children and young people they take in.

.

  • Homes for infants and children from 0 to 6 years of age where children receive their first care and love
  • Homes for children aged 6 to 12
  • Homes for adolescents, i.e. all those children in the 12-18 age group.

Presença

In all the houses, as in the other Casa do Menor facilities, the “Presence” pedagogy is applied, which consists in giving these children and young people the presence of a family that, for various reasons, they do not have.

In each home there are social mothers and fathers, people who play a very important role since they become real “parents” who accompany the children and young people in their daily activities, becoming a point of reference for them.

Each home is supervised by a social worker and a psychologist who accompany the children and young people during their stay in the home and follow their reintegration into the family when possible.
